TO OUR MEMBERS AND COMMUNITY
During the COVID crisis our dedicated staff is providing remote medical case management and client assistance over the phone and online.
Our food pantry remains open five days a week and we’re scheduling food deliveries, no contact food pickups and providing remote nutritional counseling.
TOUCH is providing emergency food and is the lead contract agency for Rockland Community Against Hunger. We’re distributing food to local pantries and working with government agencies, other non-profits and volunteers to practice social distancing and help get food to those who need it. If you or someone you know needs emergency food, please visit www.rocklandhunger.org or email Info@rocklandhunger.org
TO VOLUNTEERS, DONORS AND THOSE WHO WANT TO HELP
To support social distancing, TOUCH is temporarily restricting volunteers from working inside our pantry or in our office. Our staff is doing extra work to pack and prepare food for all our members as well as emergency food for those in need. There are external volunteer opportunities available under strict social distancing guidelines. Contact Magda Durante at mdurante@touch-ny.org to learn more.
Donations are generally the best way to help support the cost of emergency food delivery and services for those with chronic illness who are particularly vulnerable now.
Most of our members at TOUCH are at a greater risk for COVID-19 due to chronic illness and other underlying conditions. Your contribution ensures that our staff can continue to provide nutritious food to serve our community and help those most susceptible to the virus. Please consider supporting TOUCH by donating here.
Donate NowPlease practice and promote social distancing but stay in touch online or over the phone to connect, get help if you need it or help others in need.
Together, we’ll get through this. #TogetherOurUnityCanHeal
